Words cannot express the beautiful accommodations at Arecibo Oceanfront Paradise. We stayed there for a week just before Thanksgiving , hoping for a romantic couples retreat and received everything we wanted and more. The pictures do not do justice to the inside of the house which is filled with every possible comfort and convenience you could desire, nor do they capture all the lovely, private outdoor living areas you have to choose from. The beautiful grounds and gardens are romantically lit at night. The private saltwater pool with waterfall was a dream to cool off in, day or night.
All this, and you haven’t even seen the beach yet! When you open that gate to the beach, it will take your breath away. Though we usually had the beach to ourselves, it was fun to watch the surfers riding the big waves while we sat at our own private lagoon that came in with the tide everyday along with the beautiful waterfalls on the huge rock formations scattered along the shoreline. Walking along this pristine beach was truly a blessed escape from our usual hectic daily lives.
The location of this property was perfect for us. There is much to see and do in the area as others have noted but we found ourselves so content and relaxed in our beautiful “home away from home” that we chose to spend as much of our time there as possible. We did drive all the way out to Isabella and Rincon and though there were many pretty sights, we did not find a location to stay that we would have preferred more.

I don't know where to start with a review of this home. Words like breathtaking and spectacular come to mind but don't seem to do it justice. My daughter and I stayed for one week in Nov for some much needed rest and relaxation. The problem was there are so many things to do in the area we found it difficult to stay put.
The home is exactly as advertised; clean, private, located within easy reach of just about anything. It's actually simple to walk to Indian Cave along the beach although there is some climbing involved so it may not be suitable for small children. There is a ladder attached to the cave wall you need to use to climb down. We chose to climb out through a crevasse in the rock; Ridiculous I know but we sort of felt like Bear Grylls.
The property...wow!! Absolutely gorgeous!! Lush vegetation, a private pool and the ocean right out the gate. During the week we had the beach practically to ourselves, on the weekends the local surfers came out and put on a show for us.
We've been back for two days and I've recommended this property to at least six people. I only hope it's available for our next vacation! If you choose to stay here, I can't imagine how you could possibly be disappointed in any way.  Enjoy!!

What you see in the Home Away photos is what you get. Location, comfort, and cleanliness of the this house was beyond expectations. For us it was the perfect location. It was well-stocked and well-equipped with just about everything we could think of.  Arecibo has quite a few attractions and we saw each and everyone of them. There are also some attractions for the family on the way to San Juan like the Horse Show in Vega Baja and the Science Park in Bayamon. You must also stop at the Big Outlets in Barcelonetta.

This was our first time renting. We were a little intimidated by the fact that we had to rent a car and drive to a place we have never been to. We wanted a real tropical adventure away from the crowds and we went away with it. I must say it was much better, comfortable, and less expensive than staying at a hotel.  What a wonderful place!  We loved the sounds and scents of the ocean.  The home is spacious and yet it has a warm cozy feeling. The unique layout made the house look even more private and comfortable. It is fully equipped with lots of towels and outdoor furniture to relax on. The wrap around porch was an ideal place to hang out in the evening and to watch the sunset. The backyard makes it an ideal getaway home for retreats, particularly for women. I would highly recommend it.

It was such a pleasure to spend time in your beach house. We would love to go back one day.
I put photographs of our vacation on my Facebook site and have had many comments regarding your place. In fact, at work, I raved so much about our time in Puerto Rico that many people asked me for the link to your website and are interested in renting next year.

My wife and I rented this home for our honeymoon, and there is no way we could ever explain how wonderful it was! The house is so unique that you feel it is your own. It helped us escape the tourist feeling and we breathed a sigh of relief every time we came through the gates. Everything is high-tech and top-notch. The appliances we luxury. The lighted pool was so refreshing at night. We ate breakfast on the porch every morning and watched all sorts of birds and wildlife.
The beachfront was unbelievable. You feel like your in a movie set and there is a great mix of cliff's and sand beach. We have unbelievable pictures that no one can believe it was our backyard. We saw people on the beach twice the entire seven days we were there. You feel completely safe.
The town and surroundings are terrific. The roadside is so unique. We were 5 minutes from one of the best restaurants we have ever eaten at, Saltire, right on the ocean surf. 15 minutes from Arecibo which is very advanced, less than an hour from San Juan, and 20 minutes from one of the most incredible mountain ranges in the world! Yet you are in a very pleasent, charming village-like setting where the locals are the kindest you can find.
We will continue to return for the years to come, and can never repay for how wonderful of a start it was to our married lives.  A definite yes if you want peace, accessibility, comfort, luxury, and beauty. We can't wait to get back!  James and Joy, Richmond. Virginia.  Jan 11, 2009 

Thank you for the incredible experience to own a beach.  We have never stayed on the Atlantic ocean front before. We imagined it was going to be full of people and we were surprised to find a completely private beach. We had the times of our lives there. I hope we can return someday. My family and I stayed in this beautiful house in July for a week and we were pleasantly surprised. The view from the living room is very impressive. The house was comfortable and it had all the things we needed. The sea is right outside the back gate. The place is very peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle. It is also centrally located. We decided to see the nearby attractions first and then we moved on to the south and then to the northeast of the island. The owner was very gracious and offered us some useful information. Your rental is the ultimate in everything vacation. It has all you can ask for and more. We were seeking a Puerto Rico experience that would take us out of San Juan, but with similar amenities. This location was ideal. We were right at the beach, delicious restaurants, and local attractions. Short driving distances from all sorts of sights. It was a quick 45 minute drive into San Juan with various attractions on the way. The house was perfect for our total of four and our length of seven days. We were able to enjoy the amenities of a pool, an almost private beach, and watch an iguana traverse the backyard; and bar-b-que on the private back patio without being disturbed or disturbing others. I can't say one bad thing about our experience. House was very clean. It had everything we needed. Pool was great. Outside area was amazing. Beach is very private. I had my wife and two daughters and felt very safe. It was what we wanted, not the same tourist experience. The locals were freindly, don't be afraid to stop at any roadside stand. The landscaping was well maintained. The owner was very available to help or answer questions. If you truly want to get away and find peace. This is it!  Chaz P, Springfield PA. June 30, 2008

Wow, what a vacation paradise! This place is amazing...ocean, peace, privacy, pool and  all the conforts of home all in one, what more could you ask for? Everything that is listed on the site, is accurate and true. The owner is a genuinely nice person, helped with my luggage and groceries, etc,,,There is nothing like feeling safe and secure and having all of the luxuries and privacy that this true vacation home has to offer.
It is not too far from the real world as one may think, the town of Arecibo is about a 15 minute drive, depending on traffic, and you have everything at your disposal.
The beach is perfect for quiet walks, exploring, (I found an amazing conch shell & a trail of the Hawk Bill turtle), or just enjoying the view. The wild life is amazing, I saw so many beautiful birds and the foliage is just amazing. No matter where you decide to relax around the house, there is always something peaceful and beautiful to look at...
